Our role is to guide, coordinate and plan the implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs and instructional resources in the district. We also provide professional development for our staff to support the continuous improvement of instructional strategies and learning for our students.
The School District of Mauston strives to provide a variety of learning opportunities for students in our district communities. Teaching and Learning in our traditional schools centers around the child. You will find students engaged in both personalized and collaborative learning experiences designed to master state standards with technology integrated throughout a comprehensive curriculum.

- Mauston Montessori Charter School, Grades 4K-5 uses Montessori methods of teaching and curriculum. Learning is very hands-on.
- Lemonweir Academy Charter School, Grades 6-12 - a STEAM-based approach of active, collaborative learning.
- iLEAD Charter School, Grades 6-12 - a project-based school emphasizing individualized learning around student interests
- Virtual School using a combination of JEDI and Wisconsin Virtual Schools courses, K-12
